Major update now avaliable on Patreon (And here for $5)
I'd been intending to upload this here as soon as I could after posting the update to patreon, but have been really busy lately and even now I've not got a whole lot of time to write this up, so I'm largely going to be copy pasting what I wrote about the update on Patreon. So, this update isn't free for the public yet. It's a thing for people on the early excess tier on my patreon that they get major updates a month ahead of people. So, take a few days off that month for this post because I was slow. I don't want to paywall stuff from people, but at the same time I want to give people something for supporting me, so this way is the best compromise between that I feel. Because i know some people have issues with patreon, either with the website or with the company itself, I've uploaded the file here for the same price as the patreon tier so that it can act as an alternative to that.
I'm sorry for this meaning it's going to take longer to have a free update to the game, if you're not in a position to spend anything, please just wait it becomes free a month down the line. If horny brain is trying to override that then let it be known that this doesn't add any new horny or such. It's just some quality of life changes that took me what felt like an eternity to get added (Well, in particular the bulk purchasing of prestige did). Speaking of which, here is the copy pasted update stuff from the patreon:
It feels really weird how much work it took to add this stuff, since I then test it and it feels so small, but I've finally gotten the first major update done. I think going forwards what I'm going to do is give the major update about a week or so to settle and fix up any bugs that I might have missed as they come up (As best as I'm able). Afterwards I'll start work on the second prestige update and throw up the poll for the update I should work on afterwards. That being said, things are going to be really busy this coming week for me so, will have to play it by ear as to how that goes, but I'll try to fix stuff as soon as I'm able.
Now, I should probably go over what the actual update here entails. The short is.
- Health Bars for you and the monsters
- Bulk Buying prestige (A little buggy, but should work)
- Color-coded equipment stats (Green is better, red is worse).
- Also a color-blind mode option to use the old display with +'s and -'s
- Added a one-handed mode which allows you to click a little panel of arrows to attack
- Window resizing should now actually work (But the upscaling is hot garbage)
That's the short of it, if you want the long of it, that's down below.
Health Bars are now a thing - Now the game's got health bars which should accurately track your health and your enemies. I spent way too long going down a rabbit hole of increasingly length code before finding out that there was a way easier way to do these which I feel somewhat embarrassed about, but at least we've got health bars now.
Bulk buying prestige upgrades - No longer will you need to use an autoclicker to buy dozens of upgrades with prestige, now I have added bulk buying them, up to 10 thousand at once (Past this point I am concerned about how the game would handle it as I'm pretty sure it would freeze up if I tried that). It's not perfect, when testing it I've noticed it has an annoying habit of giving one or two less than the full bulk purchase, but sadly this doesn't seem to be something I can fix as trying to correct for it causes it to purchase too much and throw you into negative prestige, so I hope that what is present here is good enough, because this was by far the most difficult part of the update and I spent a whole lot of time to even get it this far. (If you get too much or too little points through bulk buying/refunding though do tell me because that's something I do need to fix up)
Color-coded equipment stats - This is pretty self explanatory, and a fairly small change, but my gods did it take a long time writing down all the code needed for this. Not really hard to do this, just really time consuming. But hey, now worse stats are colored in red, better ones are in green, and if you've grown accustomed to the old + and - symbols instead, you can get them back by turning the colorblind mode toggle on in the save & options section. (Really glad it's living up to the & options part now)
One-handed mode - Also in the options is now the One-handed mode. Enabling this will cause four arrows to appear at the bottom of your stat display (This was the best place I could find to put them) when you attack, you can click these instead of pressing any of the keyboard buttons to do the attack stuff. While I know why this was requested was very likely for more lewd reasons, I really like that this functions as a bit of a disability assistance option, or just well, helps for people who don't have a keyboard for whatever reason.
Window resizing - Going to be honest, this was a thing I realised at the last minute that I should try and see if I could do to let it be done in fullscreen. And yeah, it should work on fullscreen now, just turns out the upscaling on it is garbage so I'll probably try to figure out how to improve that in time, provided I can do so without breaking anything.
And I think that's everything. Thank you for reading through all of this if you did. I hope you enjoy the update, content sparse as it may be, and I'm hoping to give more new stuff to experience in the next update.

#1 most based way to paywall stuff is to lock the more incremental, smaller, buggier, less-polished updates behind the paywall, then only do public releases when you decide the game is stable and polished and ready for another update, having enough content to justify cleaning everything up. Downside to this method is that you need enough people to pay for access so they can help debug and playtest the game.
I remember a dev once that did it the other way around, the indev updates were the "demo", but the paid releases were the polished ones, and if one of the public updates had a game-breaking bug in it that makes the game literally unplayable, then too bad, gotta wait for the next public release, or winkwinknudgenudge buy it.
While I call them major updates, it's more just, me trying to differentiate them from the little hotfix updates and such that I do when bugs are found or stuff doesn't quite feel right (Balance issues typically). Each update is basically me introducing a new feature, and the paywall is in part there so that I can try and fix bugs on it before the public release, and in part just, well, trying to give people something for supporting me with working on this.
At the very least, I can assure you that I'll never do that kind of terribad thing as described in the latter paragraph there. The moment bugs are found I do the best I can to fix them and get the update out, and I fully intend to keep doing that going forward. Hells, if it means pushing forward a public release of a patreon version because that's where it's fixed, then I'll choose that over having it be broken for people. (Though I should hope that it's never in such a state of disparity between them that it would be a possibility.)
